### Token Utilities&#x20;

To unlock the utilities of ABOND, users must lock ABOND through True Yield to earn Ape Points.\
Ape Points are generated based on the amount locked and the selected lock duration, and they determine the user’s Ape Tier.

Higher Ape Tiers unlock additional benefits and utilities across the ApeBond ecosystem.

#### Special Utilities

* **Discount Boost**: With locking ABOND you can access greater discounts on Bonds, enabling you to get tokens at an even lower cost based on your tier. More higher tier equals a higher additional discount.
* **Special Bonds:** Exclusive access to Tier Gated Flash Sales is granted by holding more tier points to attain higher tiers.
* **True Yield**: Protocol revenue generated through Bonds is distributed to veABOND holders as True Yield. Rewards are paid in USDT and distributed weekly based on Ape Points and overall protocol performance.
* **Governance:** veABOND holders participate directly in ApeBond governance. Voting power is derived from locked ABOND and accumulated Ape Points, allowing committed users to influence protocol decisions, emissions, and ecosystem direction on-chain.

#### Tier Points

The Tier Points system connects ABOND locking, Ape Tiers, rewards, and governance into a single structure.

Points represent long-term commitment to ApeBond. They define a user’s Tier level, their share of True Yield rewards, their governance voting power, and access to future utilities and incentives.

This system ensures that the users who commit the most to the protocol are the ones who benefit the most from its growth and actively shape its future.
